Cherry Broadband offer three main packages for business and home-office connectivity. You can choose from our Home, Max and Premium packages...

HOME: As a part of our commitment to supporting small businesses and home workers we have provided this package, priced for the home office, but including all of the features normally only available in more expensive business packages. Set up fee for new lines / migrations is a once-off £49.99. Most ISP's will contend your home-office broadband connection at anything between 50:1 and 300:1 - when you choose Cherry you're also choosing to not share your broadband connection with up to 300 other people.

MAX Broadband: Always-on high speed broadband for the business that needs to stay connected. Set up fee for new lines / migrations is a once-off £49.99 Most ISP's will contend your broadband connection at anything between 50:1 and 300:1 - when you choose Cherry you're also choosing to not share your broadband connection with up to 300 other people.

MAX Premium: Always-on ultra high speed broadband for the business that needs to stay connected. No activation fee for lines without broadband / migration from another ISP. Most ISP's will contend your broadband connection at anything between 30:1 and 50:1 - when you choose Cherry you're also choosing to not share your broadband connection with up to 50 other people.

Hardware

Cherry Broadband can supply all our routers, wireless access points, splitters, I-Plates and more.

Why buy a router from Cherry? The simple answer is: you don't have to. You can supply your own router, or use your existing one, we'll even help you to get it set up and working. The only disadvantage is that our 24/7 tech support team is unable to offer support on routers which we've not supplied. They will still be able to test your line and offer advice.

Contention

Think of your broadband as a cake...

Other ISP's need to share their cake between as many people as possible, in order to keep costs down. This means everyone gets a tiny slice. At Cherry, we limit the number of people we'll share cake between, and when we have more users, we get more cakes. This is essentially what contention means - the number of other users sharing your broadband line. Higher contention (more users) means slower speeds (smaller slices).
